	`I'm sorry,' Asuka says, `I'm in your way, aren't I?'

	`No, nothing like that,' I say.

	`I couldn't win.  I'm so worthless now,' she pauses for a while, `I
hate, I really hate, I hate everyone,' another pause, `But most of all, I hate
myself,' another pause, shorter, `I, I, now that I don't care about anything,
I have nothing to do.'

	`I think you can do anything you like.  I won't say anything.  I
really think you've done well.'

	Asuka rolls over, and clutches me, weeping onto my shoulder.  I wrap
awkward arms around her, and she leans in, and kisses me.

	Her lips are soft, demanding, and taste of tears.
