(headline)Mysterious Thunder Kills Attempted Murderer.

NEW YORK -- A man fell dead today, struck from a clear sky by a bolt of
lightning, after he shot Juan (hurigana (Wa an)) Vareja (hurigana (Va re ha)),
a Dark Kingdom Normal Police officer working on liason with the New York
Police Department.  The man, who's name has not been released, apparently shot
Officer Vareja when Vareja confronted him over a purse-snatching.

"I asked him to return the purse and refrain from doing it again.  He replied
with some cuss words, and I asked him again, adding that if he didn't, I'd
help him.  At that point he unexpectedly shot me," Vareja said of the
incident.  When asked what he thought of the lightning bolt that struck his
attacker dead, Vareja said only, "Thor protects all the people of the Dark
Kingdom," and declined to elaborate.
